My son and daughter look forward to their swim lessons at the YMCA every Saturday. They have both been afraid to even get their faces wet and now my daughter is jumping in the pool on her own. The instructors are very kind and patient, even when my son gets scared. They help him remain calm and assure him that he is safe. We are thankful to the swim instructors and the Y for offering this program!

The Downtown YMCA has been an absolute game-changer for our family! The swim program here is truly exceptional. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in every child's progress. My kids went from being nervous about swimming to gaining confidence in just a few short sessions, and the difference has been incredible to watch. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and the staff always greet you, which makes you feel like more than just a member. You feel like part of a community. The aquatics team go above and beyond to make sure every family feels supported and informed. If you're on the fence about enrolling your child in swim lessons, don't wait. This team is the real deal. We're so grateful to have the Downtown YMCA right here in Lynchburg! 🏊‍♀️💙

My two children are thriving in their swim lessons at the downtown location. Heatherly does such a wonderful job organizing and teaching. The entire team of instructors are fun, engaging, respectful and caring.

My kids have been attending the preschool swim classes for almost a year at this location and we have loved all of the teachers they have had so far! After having negative experiences at other facilities, we were skeptical about starting up but Heatherly has been excellent with communication and we are so grateful for all of the staff there! My kids have really thrived here and have been processing consistently.

We have had nothing but excellent service! Our daughter has had the best time with her swimming classes. Special shout out to the special instructors for the level 4 class that teach Adeline! We will most certainly have our youngest also do swimming lessons here!
